Deerassic’s Team Building programs are designed to improve collaboration and communication for groups of all types and we strive to ensure that every group leaves the Park with a greater sense of purpose and understanding than when they arrived. Tailored to fit each group’s goals and needs, our programs utilize different recreational activities such as low ropes, archery tag, watercraft sports, field games, and many more, all of which are led by our experienced facilitators. We are open year round and can utilize both indoor and outdoor spaces, depending on the season. These programs are available to all groups, so whether you are a school sports team, boy/girl scout group, conference, or corporate outing we are happy to build and enhance your team dynamics and communication!

PROGRAMS/ACTIVITIES
Deerassic Park Team Building Programs can vary and utilize a lot of the same programs we implement during field trips and summer camps. However, we will suggest those that promote building stronger team bonds and chemistry such as; low ropes courses, archery tag, competitive field games, watersports, and several others.

Again, Deerassic can cater to any group and make the programming for the day fit the needs of your specific group!

ACTIVITY LIST

TYPICAL SCHEDULE
A team building day typically runs 3-6 hours but can vary to meet your group’s needs. If you are a sports team we have the facilities to allow you to make an entire day out of the experience. Teams can utilize our outdoor spaces or our full size gymnasium (with comes with a full size high school basketball court and two volleyball courts) to get some practice time in, and then spend the rest of the day bonding over our fun-filled programs. You decide how long you want to be here and our staff will let you know how many activities we can fit into that schedule.

Groups can also factor in a lunch or dinner time into the day and you may pack lunches, order in, or we can provide at an additional cost that must be determined ahead of time.

Call our Education Director at 740-435-3335 or email luke@deerassic.com to discuss further options.

COST
The cost is normally $5 per group member with exceptions for smaller groups. This cost can also vary depending on the length of the day. Chaperones and coaches are free! We also offer transportation grants to schools and youth groups to help with the cost of bussing — please see our Grant Opportunities for more information.

LUNCH
Groups may eat inside the Education Complex or outside under one of our pavilions (depending on the activities/schedule.) You may bring sack lunches or plan to utilize our kitchen to cook your own meals. We can also provide meals at an additional cost. Please let us know your meal plan when making your reservation.

WEATHER CONTINGENCY
Every chance is given to utilize the planned activity even in the event of somewhat uncooperative weather (misting, slight rain, etc.). However, in the event that the weather is completely uncooperative, we will continue scheduled programming indoors without rescheduling whenever possible.

PRACTICE RENTALS
Deerassic is always looking to partner with new school sports teams to use our brand new facilities. Our mission here at Deerassic is to get kids involved in the outdoors and keep them active. So the more we can help local community teams find a place to practice, the better!

Other groups can also rent out the facilities for meetings, and other events when needed and can make it part of their team building days as well.
