NEW 2020 DEERASSIC AFTER SCHOOL

The Deerassic Park Education Center understands how tough times are right now for everyone and that includes our school districts and their students. Our main focus as a country right now when it comes to our kids should be to make sure our school-aged children are still receiving the quality education they need and deserve. With that in mind, Deerassic’s biggest partnership with local schools is hosting field trips for these school-aged children. We understand field trips are at the back of everyone’s minds right now and the main focus still needs to remain getting kids a top quality education first and foremost.

Seeing that field trips are Deerassic’s big attraction in the fall season once school starts back up, we started brainstorming ideas of how we could complement the schools, while also still getting youth out to the Park and having fun outdoors. So, we came up with the first ever “Deerassic After School Program!”

This program is designed to give kids the chance to come out to Deerassic and enjoy some of the same outdoor activities they’d normally get to experience during their school field trip. These include but are not limited to; fishing, archery, canoeing/kayaking, creeking, viewing/feeding of the live deer herd, marksmanship, low ropes, trail hiking/exploring, kickball, gaga ball, dodgeball, and much more! Sign your kids up to have a one-of-a-kind experience this year!

A DAY IN THE LIFE
Deerassic After School Programs are all about kids having fun, exploring the outdoors, meeting new friends, and being themselves! Each After School day runs from 3:30PM – 5:30PM, and runs for 3 weeks, and consist of jam-packed days of fun activities we offer here at the Park. Kids will show up to Deerassic and hit the ground running, having a blast all afternoon with a light snack to kick off the day.

SESSIONS
Ages 8-10 (NO EXCEPTIONS) will take place 3:30PM-5:30PM on the following dates:

-September 28th, September 30th, October 5th, October 7th, October 12th & October 14th.

Ages 11-14 (NO EXCEPTIONS) will take place 3:30PM-5:30PM on the following dates:

-September 29th, October 1st, October 6th, October 8th, October 13th & October 15th.

COST
$30.00 per student (covers all 6 days)

SNACKS
Kids will be provided a light snack everyday which is included in the registration price. Drinks will also be provided throughout the afternoon. If your child has any special dietary needs, please let us know.

WEATHER CONTINGENCY
Every chance is given to utilize the planned activities even in the event of somewhat uncooperative weather (misting, slight rain, etc.). However, in the event that the weather is completely uncooperative, we will continue scheduled programming indoors without rescheduling. The show and fun goes on!
